About Gastamo Group
Gastamo Group is a Denver-based restaurant group founded in 2009 by chef-restaurateur Jean-Philippe Failyau with the opening of the original Park Burger in Platt Park. Since joining forces with CEO Peter Newlin, the group has grown to operate 15 restaurants across the Denver metro area, spanning five distinct concepts: Park Burger, Park & Co., Homegrown Tap & Dough, Perdida, and Lady Nomada. With additional projects in the development pipeline, Gastamo Group continues to expand thoughtfully while staying true to its mission of creating neighborhood gathering places built on fresh food, warm hospitality, and strong community connections.

Peter Newlin, CEO
Peter John Newlin is a Partner at Gastamo Group, a Denver-based real estate and hospitality company. His current role is Chief Vision Officer (CVO) at Gastamo Group. Newlin's academic journey includes a bachelor's degree in business administration from the College of Charleston and an MBA from the University of Denver. Alongside Jean-Philippe Failyau, Newlin has been pivotal in conceptualizing and advancing brands such as Park Burger, Homegrown, Perdida, Lady Nomada, and Birdcall.
Known for his innovative approach, Newlin's expertise in technology led to the creation of Poncho Technology, a custom POS and management solution designed to enhance operational efficiency and the user experience. His dedication to experiential design and community-focused initiatives remains central to his work.
Newlin enjoys being an active community member in the neighborhoods where Gastamo operates. He founded the Denver Deluxe Music and Arts Festival, a community-driven event in RiNo. Together with his partner, he also created Fuel Hope Kitchen, which served over 250k meals across Colorado during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, he serves on the boards of Eat Denver and the Rocky Mountain YPO chapter. In his free time, Newlin loves coaching emerging restaurant groups and sharing the valuable lessons he's learned over the years.
Newlin has been named among the top young restaurant leaders to watch as well as one of the most influential CEO’s in the country.
